Orthotics

Orthotics are one way in which we can help you with your foot and other joint problems.

If you are suffering from:

  • Foot pain
  • Flat feet
  • Hammer toes
  • Corns and calluses
  • Ankle sprains
  • Shin splints
  • Heel pain
  • Knee pain
  • Back Pain
  • Neck pain
  • Inturning kneecaps
  • Shoes or trainers that wear down quickly in one particular spot

... then orthotics can help you.

Did you know?

More than seven out of 10 people suffer from excessive pronation!  This means our feet turn in more than they should when we're walking or running. This is often because of the un-natural hard, flat surfaces we walk on daily.

As a result, normal knee function and hip alignment are disrupted which, in turn, increases forces on the lower back muscles. Other muscles and joints are also affected.

Orthotics are special footware inserts that are individually designed and made to ease your pain and discomfort. Your orthotic will help to reposition the foot structure to achieve optimum skeletal balance, reducing the stress and pain on the joints that cause the discomfort.

Orthotics operate on the same principle as glasses - they correct rather than cure. They allow your foot to function correctly, and are very comfortable.

Our orthotics clinic is based in Littleport, Cambridgeshire. It's also within easy reach of Ely and Cambridge. Contact Elizabeth Dutton or one of our staff at The utopia Centre to find out more.
